BROWDER THROWS PERFECT 2.1 INNINGS IN FALL BALL VS. MCC

Baylor baseball hosted MCC in its first fall game of the season on Wednesday night. The 14-inning contest also mark the first game played on the newly renovated field at Baylor Ballpark. No score was kept by either team.
Kolt Browder, a senior right-hander from Coldspring, Texas, threw a Kolt Browder threw 2.1 perfect innings and struck out the first four batters he faced. Last season, Browder made 18 appearances and registered a 2.57 ERA, striking out 21 and walking just seven in 21.0 innings pitched. Trae Davis, Bobby McCormack, Joe Kirkland all joined Browder with scoreless appearances of their own.
Senior infielder, Steve DalPorto, led Baylor from the plate, going 3-for-6 with a double. DalPorto appeared in 22 games last season for the Bears, registering 10 starts. Cal Towey reached base in four of six at-bats, with two walks, a HBP and a double. Towey, a senior from Seattle, Wash., hit .295 last season with 13 doubles and six homers.
Jake Miller, a senior shortstop and three-year letterwinner for the Bears, recorded a walk, a single, a double, two runs scored and four RBI in six plate appearances. Michael Howard, Duncan Wendel and Grayson Porter all tallied two hits a piece.
Baylor will be back in fall ball action Friday, Nov. 9, as the Bears take on Temple College, at 4 p.m. CT, at Baylor Ballpark. Admission is free and the general public is invited to attend.
BASEBALL HOLDS HALLOWEEN PRACTICE

Baylor players got in the Halloween spirit on Wednesday, taking part in their daily batting practice, sporting Halloween costumes.
BaylorBears.com was there to catch on the shenanigans and hijinks at practice, which featured Coach Steve Smith as a wizard, a can can dancer and a replacement official, just to name a few. Check out video recap and photo gallery.
