FCP: Special Summer Edition
It's June. It's hot. And, the 2009 NBA Draft is less than a week away (Thurs., June 25, to be exact), but summer is also heating up because it seems like a lot of people are talking about Big 12 and Baylor men's hoops. DISCLAIMER: It's only June 19th, but it's always basketball season here at FCP, so we welcome all the summertime talk.
Don't believe us? Well, ESPN resident bracketologist Joe Lunardi unveiled his super-early mid-June Bracketology earlier this week. The verdict? Seven - count them - 7 Big 12 teams projected to make the 2010 NCAA Tournament. DISCLAIMER DISCLAIMING THE FIRST DISCLAIMER: It's early folks, so a lot of things can change between now and the start of practice in October and the start of the regular season in November...But, things aren't as grim as some make them out to be along the Brazos. While Baylor is listed as the first time out in next year's tournament, the Bears are on the national radar. Worry not, BaylorNation, we promise the 2009-10 season will be exciting.
On Tuesday of this week, the Big 12 coaches held a summer teleconference, previewing the upcoming 2009-10 season in its infancy. Lots of good stuff. Listen for yourself.
