Baylor placed a school-record 235 student-athletes on the fall 2007 Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, including 30 who achieved perfect 4.0 grade-point averages for the recently-completed fall term. The previous Baylor record for Commissioner's Honor Roll selections came in the fall of 2006 when 197 student-athletes were recognized by the conference.

"I am extremely proud of the record-setting academic performance of our student-athletes this fall," said Baylor Director of Athletics Ian McCaw. "This success is a credit to the dedication of our student-athletes, academic commitment of our coaches and the outstanding work of the student-athlete services staff. Moreover, Baylor's faculty members play a key role in the academic success of our student-athletes and are to be commended for the outstanding job they do in the classroom."

More than 2,000 student-athletes each semester have been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the league's 12-year history.
