The seventh annual Baylor University All Sports Banquet will be held Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center. This affair is coordinated by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is funded by your Baylor "B" Association.
The keynote speaker for this year's dinner will be Dr. Prentice Gautt. Gautt was an all-American for Oklahoma when the Sooners won 47 games in a row under coach Bud Wilkinson. Gautt earned his Ph.D. from Missouri and has served as assistant commissioner for the Big Eight. When that organization expanded to 12 schools, he came the assistant commissioner for the new Big 12 Conference. In university circles, Gautt is known as "the champion for student-athletes."
Baylor "B" Association president Dr. Pinkie Palmer will welcome guests and introduce the four students who are becoming the first students to serve as representatives on the "B" Association Board of Directors.
