WACO, Texas -
Baylor student-athletes participated in the 5th annual Lil' Wranglers Round- up Party at Floyd Casey Stadium on Saturday. The event, which is a fun-filled day for children afflicted with cancer and their families, was hosted by the Baylor Athletic Department and Hillcrest Health System.
The children played games and visited with Baylor cheerleaders and athletes from soccer, football and women's basketball. Inflatable games, food, arts and crafts and face painting were among the numerous activities for the children.
Geoff Nelson, member of the Baylor football team, said he loves kids.
"These kids look up to us so much. I love to set a good example for them and give back to the Waco community by spending time with them."
Paul Mosley, fellow team member agreed with Nelson.
"There are a lot of unfortunate people out there and anytime I can spend time with them, I will. I enjoy spending time with kids. They make me happy and are always so excited to see the football team," he added.
Lil' Wranglers Round-up Party is just another example of Baylor athletes giving back to the Waco community and enjoying fellowship with special children. For more information, please contact Baylor Athletic Marketing at 710-3073.
