Waco, Texas -
Baylor assistant athletic business manager Nancy Post has been named the school's senior women's administrator, Athletic Director Tom Stanton announced Friday. Post will represent Baylor's women's athletic programs at all Big 12 meetings and work within the current administrative structure to insure fairness and consistency in gender equity issues. She will also chair the department's newly-established internal women's athletic council.
"Nancy will provide responsible and effective leadership for us in this important position," Stanton said. "Baylor's commitment to our women's sports is strong, as evidenced by the first-class facilities and coaches we've put in place over the last few years."
Post, a 1987 Baylor graduate, has worked in the athletic department for nearly seven years, first as director of accounting and most recently as assistant business manager. The Killeen native also has experience working in the private sector as a controller and finance director.
Baylor's women's athletic programs continue to succeed. During the 2001-02 school year, Baylor's women finished second in the Big 12's all-sport standings compiled by the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World.
