WACO, Texas -
The Baylor Athletic Department announced Wednesday the debut of its new official website, GoBaylorBears.com, which will provide in-depth information on each of the school's 17 varsity sports.
The new website is part of the FANSonly network and will replace the old BaylorSportsNet.com, assistant athletic director Scott Stricklin said.
"It's important for Baylor to present an official athletic website that meets the needs and desires of our alumni, fans, media, coaches, student-athletes and recruits," Stricklin said. "By joining the FANSonly network, we will be able to provide services above and beyond what we were able to do in the past working alone."
GoBaylorBears.com will be the official internet presence of the Baylor Athletic Department. Game stories, press releases, statistics, live audio and more will provide the public with comprehensive Baylor information. Details concerning tickets, facilities and the Bear Foundation, along with an online store currently under construction, will all be available on the site.
The FANSonly network features over 80 official athletic sites, including Big 12 Conference rivals Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Missouri . The company also hosts sites for the Atlantic Coast and Mountain West Conferences. FANSonly has consistently ranked among the top-10 sports sites on the Internet, according to Media Metrix, the premier Internet measurement service. The network has partnerships with ESPN.com and CBS Sportsline to improve member schools' visibility on the national level.
