Several Texas cable television systems and nationwide satellite TV services will offer the Oct. 15 Nebraska-Baylor college football game on pay-per-view (see list below). Suggested retail price is $29.95 for the 6:00 p.m. (Central) kickoff from Waco, Texas.
Big 12 Special Order Sports, FSN's pay-per-view division, is producing and distributing the telecast to participating cable television systems in Texas and Nebraska and nationwide to satellite TV services. The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it wasn't selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Under conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view.
Programming providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not pre-empt FSN Southwest's regularly scheduled programming.
The game will be replayed on FSN Southwest throughout the network's coverage area (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana) on Monday, Oct. 17 at 2:30 AM CT.
The following programming providers in Texas have agreed to offer the telecast. More systems are expected to be added prior to kickoff. Digital cable subscribers and satellite customers can impulse order from their set-top boxes. Customers can also order by calling their local programming provider:
