PR staff among "Super 11" nationally recognized for servicing media during 2012 football season.
Kyle Cornish begins his sixth season as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Baylor, serving as the primary contact for volleyball, softball and equestrian.
Cornish, who joined the staff in October of 2007, has worked with the softball program (2008-present) for five seasons, soccer (2007-2011) for five seasons, equestrian (2010-present) for two seasons and begins his first year with the Baylor volleyball program in 2012. His 2009 softball media guide placed second in the nation as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In addition, Cornish produced the 2008 and 2009 football gameday programs.
Prior to his arrival at Baylor, Cornish worked at Auburn University as a media relations assistant where he served as the primary contact for women's volleyball, women's gymnastics, cross country and women's tennis, as well as the assistant contact for men's basketball.
Cornish is a 2006 graduate of The University of Kansas where he served as a student assistant in the media relations office for five years. During his time at Kansas, Cornish was the primary contact for women's tennis from 2002-04 and men's and women's golf from 2004-06. He was also the assistant contact for soccer from 2001-05 as well as softball from 2005-06.
A native of Topeka, Kan., Cornish graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
