Taylor Bryan joined the Baylor Athletics Department staff in May 2017. He serves as associate director for athletics communications and the primary media contact for head coach Matt Rhule and the Baylor football program.
Bryan worked from 2011-17 at Auburn University where he served most recently as a secondary contact with the Auburn football program and as the primary media liaison for the Auburn baseball program.
During his tenure, Auburn football won the 2013 Southeastern Conference Championship, played in the 2014 BCS National Championship game and made five bowl appearances. The Tigers also earned a pair of NCAA Baseball postseason berths.
Prior to his appointment at Auburn, Bryan worked as a graduate assistant at Troy University from 2009-11. With the Trojans, he served as primary contact for the men’s basketball program including a Sun Belt Conference title in 2010 and two postseason appearances. He also directed media efforts for the 2011 Sun Belt champion Troy baseball team.
In addition to his basketball and baseball responsibilities, Bryan served as secondary contact for the Troy football program from 2009-10 as it completed its run of five consecutive Sun Belt Championships.
A native of Birmingham, Ala., Bryan earned both his bachelor’s (2009) and master’s (2011) degrees from Troy. He is married to the former Claire Thomasson. The couple has a dog, Hudson.
