Our spirit program consists of the Coed Yell Leaders, All-Girl Yell Leaders, The Songleaders, and of course our mascot Bruiser.

The Baylor Spirit Squads support the athletic teams at Baylor University by generating crowd enthusiasm, promoting school spirit, and supporting our athletes throughout the year. You can find the Baylor University Spirit Squad members at all home and away football games, home volleyball games, as well as all men's and woman's home basketball games. Also, make sure you watch for the Baylor Spirit Squads during the Big 12 Basketball tournament, NIT, and NCAA tournaments!

The Spirit Squad members are great ambassadors of not only the University but the community of Waco as well. Spirit Squad members can be found participating in a variety of special appearances, alumni events, and throughout the community generating energy and excitement for Waco, TX!

Why it's great to be a Baylor Spirit Squad member:

    • All uniforms, accessories, shoes, warm ups, and practice attire are provided

    • Access to our state-of-the-art weight room and athletic trainers in the new Simpson Athletic Building
    • Opportunity to practice, perform, and grow in a nurturing Christian environment

The Spirit Squad "off season" will begin April 1 and end the first day of fall classes as stated on the Baylor Academic Calendar. Appearance requests will not be accepted during our "off season".

Shanghai Trip
The Baylor University Songleader Dance Team has the incredible opportunity to travel to Shanghai, China to perform in the 28th Annual Shanghai Tourism Festival. The STF is an international event hosted by the Shanghai People's Government of Municipality and undertaken by the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration. Every year it is held in September in Shanghai and opens with a grand parade in the famous street- Huaihai Road. For the last 27 years, more than 400 foreign art ensembles from the United States and 36 other countries have participated in this event.

The festival acts as a perfect event for locals and foreigners to discover the charm of the Chinese culture and history. Each year, the parade is broadcast live on television and radio with over 200 million viewers and listeners. This event has become a major festival for Shanghai and has become one of the most influential events in China. The STF invites excellent art ensembles to participate from all over the world and we are incredibly excited to be chosen to represent the United States & the mission of Baylor University to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment. Sic `Em Squad Day Camp

The Sic `Em Squad Day Camp is a fantastic opportunity for children K-8th grade to enjoy a day with the Baylor University Spirit Squads. While at camp they will learn cheers, chants & dances. They will receive the official Sic `Em Squad t-shirt to be worn at the football game September 9, 2017 against UTSA game ticket for participant is included in the Sic `Em Squad Registration!
