Kristen Hankins - Director of Spirit & Traditions, Songleader Dance Team, Bruiser & Marigold Mascot Teams.

Kristen Hankins is in her first year as the Director of Spirit & Traditions at Baylor University, she is also the head coach for the Songleader dance team and the Bruiser & Marigold mascot team. Kristen was the Athletic Director for Heights Preparatory in Dallas, TX from 2014-2017 along with her director duties Kristen coached varsity volleyball, competitive cheer & dance. The athletics program had its three most successful seasons under the direction of Hankins.

Kristen was the founding coordinator of the Wayland Baptist University Spirit Teams and coach of the competitive cheer and dance programs. Both squads enjoyed great success at the 2013 NCA/NDA Collegiate Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla., and CCA Collegiate Championship in Salem, North Carolina. Both teams were nationally ranked since their inaugural year in 2010 -2014.

A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, she was a member of and later an assistant coach for the nationally-ranked SFA Pom Squad 2000-2007. Hankins served as the assistant director of the national champion McLennan Community College Dance Company in 2009-2010.

As a member of the American Dance and Drill Team staff, the Universal Cheerleaders Association, US Tumblers Coach Jones has taught clinics, camps and judged cheer and dance team try-outs and contests across the nation. She also taught and developed gymnastic and competitive dance programs for two years for the Boys & Girls Club of Deep East Texas. She was nominated for consideration to receive a NISOD Excellence Award while at MCC.

Coach Hankins received a bachelor's degree in communication advertising with a minor in kinesiology from SFA in 2005 and a Master of Coaching & Athletic Administration at Concordia University in 2016.

Jennie Farmer - Assistant Spirit & Tradition Coach as well as the coach of the all-girl yell leaders.

Jennie is a former all-girl cheerleader for Sam Houston State University. Also, she is a current staff instructor for Universal Cheerleaders Association where she serves as a judge for local, regional, and state competitions.

Jennie has had the privilege of training UCA's staff for the past three years. Furthermore, she has received "Vet of the Year" as well as "Best of the Southwest Region".

Daniel Saenz - Coach of the Baylor Yell Leaders.

As a graduate of Baylor University and former member of the Yell Leaders, he hopes to share his passion and knowledge with this very talented team and program.

After receiving his Bachelor's degree in graphic design from Baylor, Daniel continued to pursue other cheer related opportunities. Some of his accolades include competing internationally on the USA Spirit Team, choreographing and coaching competitive all-star, high school, and college squads, and judging competitive cheer competitions.  Daniel also owns a local cheerleading and gymnastics gym with his wife, Kristen.

The Spirit Squad "off season" will begin April 1 and end the first day of fall classes as stated on the Baylor Academic Calendar. Appearance requests will not be accepted during our "off season".
