2007: Finished third in the pole vault at the Dr Pepper Invitational with a clearance of 4.30 meters (14-01.25)...Named to the fall and spring Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2006: Took second in the pole vault at the Michael Johnson Classic with a clearance of 14-07.25. 2005: Placed fourth at the UTA Invitational with a clearance of 14-01.25...Also cleared 14-01.25 to place fourth at the Sooner Invitational.

High School: Two-year letterwinner in track and field at Panhandle High School...Two-time state qualifier in the pole vault...Also competed in the 4x400- and 4x200-meter relay...Recorded a top clearance of 14 feet in the pole vault...Also had a top time of 53 seconds in the 400 meters...Also lettered twice in football, earning two all-district selections...In the classroom, was the valedictorian of his graduating class...Received an award for academic excellence and served as a member of the student council.
