AUSTIN, Texas - The Baylor women's distance medley relay of juniors Ruth Waller (Manchester, England) and Lauren Tillman (Lawrenceville, Ga.), sophomore Lauren Hagans (Little Rock, Ark.) and freshman Erin Bedell (Plano, Texas) ran away with the victory and shattered the school record by more than 10 seconds with a time of 11:19.45 Saturday at the 79th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The old record of 11:30.35 had stood since 1991.

The women's 4x100-meter relay of senior Marquisha Sefas (Ft. Worth, Texas), junior Kandace Tucker (Irving, Texas), senior Angel Perkins (Cerritos, Calif.) and Grace finished seventh in 45.42, while the 4x400-meter relay of freshman Katrina Taylor (Baton Rouge, La.), Grace, Tucker and Perkins finished fifth with a season-best regional qualifying time of 3:32.53.

The men's 4x400-meter relay of freshman Quentin Iglehart-Summers (San Antonio, Texas) and juniors Reggie Witherspoon (Marietta, Ga.), Mark Teter (San Antonio, Texas) and Kevin Mutai (Round Rock, Texas) also ran a season-best regional qualifying time of 3:05.16 to finish fourth.

 

 

The distance medley relay of junior John Robertson (Greensboro, N.C.), freshman R.J. Anderson (Big Pine Key, Fla.), junior Mitch Sanders (Katy, Texas) and senior Bo Price (Atlanta, Texas) finished fifth with a time of 9:52.40.

Senior Jerome Miller (Houston, Texas) finished eighth in both in the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles, running 14.61 in the 110 and 52.79 in the 400.

The Bears return to action at the North Texas Invitational Saturday, April 15 in Denton, Texas.
