DES MOINES, Iowa - Baylor sophomore Brittany Brockman (Houston, Texas) ran a regional qualifying time of 16:37.43 to finish third in the 5,000 meters as the Bears began action Thursday at the Drake Relays at Drake Stadium.

Junior Bo Price (Atlanta, Texas) ran a 14:57.00 to finish 18th in the men's 5,000 meters.

Baylor will run in the women's distance medley relay and the 4x100-meter relay Friday morning, while senior Jessa Chance (Southlake, Texas) will run the 3,000 steeplechase to start the afternoon action. The Bears will be competing all afternoon and finish up with the men's 4x400-meter relay, the final event of the day, at 5:45 p.m.

The Drake Relays continue through Saturday.
