WACO, Texas - Baylor's track and field team will begin the 2018 indoor season by competing at the inaugural Texas Tech Corky Classic Saturday, Jan. 13 at the brand-new Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Field events begin at 11 a.m. CT with track prelims starting at 1 p.m.
The meet will include team scoring as the Bears, with the women ranked No. 19 and the men No. 45 in the preseason USTFCCCA indoor rankings, will host Texas Tech (men No. 10), Houston (men No. 19), LSU (women No. 7), Texas (men No. 15, women No. 5) and Oklahoma State.
In total, Baylor has 55 athletes slated to compete with 30 women and 25 men getting their first action of the season.
The Lady Bears will have all four returning indoor All-Americans competing this weekend, including senior Kiana Hawn and juniors Taylor Bennett, Leticia De Souza and Kiana Horton. The women look to defend the program's first Big 12 indoor title this season.
On the men's side, the Bears have three returning All-Americans in Wil London, Maxwell Willis and Caleb Dickson. The men look to improve on their top-seven finish at the Big 12 Indoor Championship a season ago.
