WACO, Texas - Baylor's track and field team will make the short trip to compete at the Texas A&M Quadrangular on Saturday inside the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium at the McFerrin Athletic Center in College Station, Texas.
Field events begin at noon CT with track prelims starting at the same time.
"We're taking a good group down to College Station, and we're trying to build off what we did last weekend," head coach Todd Harbour said. "They're all outstanding teams. We're continuing to get better and build and become a better team on both sides. It's a long season, so you've got to stay the course and take care of your student-athletes."
The meet will include team scoring as the Bears, with the women ranked No. 19 and the men No. 45 in the preseason USTFCCCA indoor rankings, will face Texas (men No. 15, women No. 5), host Texas A&M (men No. 17, women No. 10) and Arizona State (women No. 30) for the four-team meet.
In total, Baylor has 64 athletes slated to compete with 37 women and 27 men suiting up for the Bears. Meanwhile, 14 athletes will compete for the first time this season.
Last Saturday, the Bears earned three event titles at the inaugural Texas Tech Corky Classic in Lubbock -- 200 meters, 3,000 meters and the 4x400-meter relay. Four Lady Bears moved into the all-time performers list, including freshman Tuesdi Tidwell who moved to second in the pole vault list behind 2017 All-American and Big 12 champion Annie Rhodes.
The Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium will also host the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships on March 9-10.
Live results from the competition will be posted on the team's official Twitter account (@BaylorTrack), followed by a full recap on BaylorBears.com after the conclusion of the meet.
