WACO, Texas -
After taking last weekend off, the Baylor track and field team is splitting up for the weekend as some runners travel to Flagstaff, Ariz., while others are set to compete in Houston.
A talented group is headed to Northern Arizona to compete in the Mountain T's Invitational. That group includes Darold Williamson (400), Jeremy Wariner (400) and Lakadron Ivery (long jump), who all provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships last time out at the Red Raider Invitational hosted by Texas Tech. The men's 4x400 relay team of Wariner, Robbie Quiroga, Brian McDonald and Williamson also clocked a provisional mark in Lubbock. They also will compete in Arizona on Saturday.
Due to the high altitude in Flagstaff, the distance runners as well as a few other athletes will travel to Houston to compete.
The two squads will join up again to travel to the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. next weekend.
