WACO, Texas - Baylor returns a total of 20 All-Big 12 performers to the 2014 Big 12 Outdoor Championships hosted by Texas Tech University at the Linda & Terry Fuller Track in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday through Sunday.

Heading into the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, the Bears have 35 event marks among the top eight in the conference. The list includes six league-leading marks.

Baylor's women own two league-best marks. Senior Tiffani McReynolds has the best 100-hurdle time in the Big 12 at 12.87, while Rachel Johnson (9:49.31) is tops in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The Lady Bears also have five marks that are second-best in the Big 12.

On the men's side, BU leads the conference in four events. Freshman sensation Trayvon Bromell has the fastest 100 (10.01) and 200-meter (20.23) times in the conference. Meanwhile, Bryce Grace is tops in the 100-hurdles (13.64). The 4x100-meter relay quartet of Bromell, Blake Heriot, Everett Walker and Alex Reece also leads the Big 12 with a time of 39.09.

Nationally as a team, the Bears are ranked No. 13, while the women are No. 14. Currently, the men would have 16 entries (14 individual & two relays) into the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds, while the women have 26 marks in the region's top 48 with (24 individual and two relays).

As a team, Baylor has combined to win a total of 25 individual events during the outdoor season. The BU women have claimed 14 event titles, while the men have won 11.

Baylor will be without the services of NCAA Indoor triple jump champion Felix Obi and outdoor All-American Richard Gary, who have been limited this outdoor season due to injury.

Last season, Baylor finished seventh on the men's side with 61 points, while the BU women were third, totaling 93 points. The men had 13 competitors take home 18 All-Big 12 honors, while the women had 13 athletes earn 23 honors.

"We are excited, because we have become a better Big 12 team. We have always had a little more focus on nationals, but now we have some quality non-scholarship athletes and that helps a lot. We are excited to go up to Lubbock and compete hard and see how high we can finish." - head coach Todd Harbour
