Two More Signees Added to Baylor Track and Field Team
June 6, 2003 WACO, Texas - Two more outstanding athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Baylor Bears Track and Field team in 2003, head coach Clyde Hart announced on Friday. They join 11 athletes who signed in the fall and earlier in the spring. "We are delighted to have both of these young people," head coach Clyde Hart said. "They are both tremendous athletes and they should add considerably to our program." Catherine McIntyre is an all-around athlete from Westlake High School in Austin. She is a district champion in the 100 and 300 hurdles as well as in the long jump.
Distance specialist Mitch Sanders is a stand-out from Houston's Westlake High School. He is the District 16 5A champion in both the 1,600 and the 3,200. He has clocked a 4:11.35 in the 1,600 as well as recording a 3,200 time of 9:17.34.
