HOUSTON, Texas - HOUSTON, Texas - Due to inclement weather in the surrounding area, the Rice Relays at Buffalo Bayou were cancelled Friday and will not be rescheduled.

Men's and women's teams from Rice, the University of Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas Southern began the race but were forced to stop after the two-mile mark.

Baylor will return to action in three weeks as both teams host the Baylor Invitational at the Farm Bureau course Sept. 23.
