TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Freshman Robyn Bennett and junior Cate Westenhover represented the Baylor cross country team at the 2010 NCAA Championships on Monday in Terre Haute, Ind.
On a windy day in Western Indiana, Bennett was the first to cross the line for Baylor in 123rd place, while Westenhover placed 169th.
"Robyn had a pretty good day, and both of them have had outstanding seasons," head coach Todd Harbour said. "Cate's day didn't go as well as she had hoped, but I am extremely proud of both of them. It was a tough day to get a good time with the wind blowing so hard."
In her first NCAA Championships appearance, Bennett covered the 6,000-meter course in 21 minutes, 31.8 seconds, while Westenhover, who competed at nationals for the second time, crossed the line in 21:55.5.
The pair had qualified individually for the NCAA Championships by finishing as two of the top four individuals at the NCAA South Central Regional meet last weekend.
