NEW ORLEANS
- The Baylor men's and women's cross country teams earned all-academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, announced recently by USTFCCCA officials.

Baylor's men and women were among a total of 352 teams, including 205 women's and 147 men's squads that earned academic distinction. The Bears were one of eight Big 12 teams on each side to be recognized.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

Baylor's women, who combined for a fall school-record 3.51 GPA, were one of 54 teams that earned at least a 3.5. For the men, a fall school-record 3.43 GPA was part of a group of 28 teams over 3.4.
