WACO, Texas - Baylor cross country head coach Todd Harbour announced the unveiling of his team's 2014 schedule Wednesday.
"I am very excited about our schedule this year," Harbour said. "It is a great schedule for both our men's and women's teams."
The Bears will open the season at home with the Bear Twilight Invitational on Aug. 29 at the HOT Soccer Complex.
After a week off, Baylor will head north for the UTA Season Opener on Sept. 13, in Arlington, Texas, before traveling south to the Texas A&M Invite on Sept. 20 in College Station, Texas.
The Baylor men will have the next weekend off as only the women's team will take part in the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 27, in Minneapolis, Minn.
Following the men's off-weekend, both teams will be back in action on Oct. 4 at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
After another open weekend and in the final meet of the regular season, the men and women will get to run on the NCAA Championships' course during the Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 18 in Terre Haute, Ind.
BU will have another open weekend, before journeying north to take on the rest of the league for the Big 12 Conference Championships on Nov. 1 in Lawrence, Kan.
Baylor will then travel back to Fayetteville, Ark., for the NCAA South Central Region Championships on Nov. 14. It will be only the second time in the last seven years and the third time in the last 12 seasons. The
