The Baylor cross country teams will open the 2006 season when the Bears host the Bear Relays at the Baylor Intramural Fields on Friday, Sept. 1, at 6:30 p.m. for the women and 7 p.m. for the men. The meet is in a relay format and consists of teams of two individuals competing in a relay-style race. The women will be running an 8,000 meter race, while the men will run in a 12,000 meter race.
The Baylor women return eight letterwinners from last season including Brittany Brockman, who claimed the NCAA South Central Regional individual title and her third straight All-Big 12 honor. Baylor swept the men's and women's titles last year at the Bear Relays with Brockman and Hagans claiming the women's title and Morrow and Price claiming the men's title.
