WACO, Texas - Baylor cross country coach Todd Harbour is headed to the 18th Annual Roy Griak Invitational with his men's and women's squads. The cross country event, which features 29 teams, is being held at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course which is filled with rolling hills and grassy terrain. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. (CDT) and 12 p.m. (CDT) for the women on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The men will be facing nine colleges ranked in the top 30. The women who are ranked 27th nationally will be facing 12 other teams ranked in the top 30. The men will be running an 8,000-meter race while the women run a 6,000-meter race.

The men won the season-opener MacGregor Park Relays in Houston. Seniors Kyle King and Matt Chance recorded the fastest time over the eight-mile course at 40:01 and sophomores Bo Price and Rob Morrow took second at 40:21. The men also finished second at the North Texas Invitational Cross Country Meet.

The women have also started strong. The sophomore duo of Angela Marvin and Lisa Cornelius finished second at the season-opener in Houston. The women's team then stepped up and took first at the North Texas Invitational with freshman Brittany Brockman taking second place in the 5K race.
