Senior Rob Morrow (Grapevine, Texas) was named Big 12 Runner of the Week for his performance at the Roy Griak Invitational the conference office announced Wednesday.
Morrow finished 30th at the Roy Griak Invitational to help lead the Bears. He concluded the 8,000-meter race in a time of 25:33. Morrow leads the Bears for the 2006 season finishing second at the Bear Relays and claiming the individual title at the North Texas Invitational.
Rob has been working so hard and I'm proud of him," head coach Todd Harbour said. "This is a great, well-deserved honor for him. Hopefully we can get Bo (Price) and Cody (Wells) back soon to help him out, because this team can be very tough."
Liliani Mendez from Kansas State took home the women's honor.
Morrow and the rest of the Baylor cross country team will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14, when the Bears travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to run in the Chile Pepper Festival.
