WACO, Texas - Josh Turley's 13th-inning RBI single gave Baylor a 5-4 win over Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark. The win was the Bears' 11th straight and completed their third straight Big 12 series sweep.

Baylor (22-7, 9-0 Big 12) overcame a 3-0 seventh-inning deficit to send the game to extra innings, and after Oklahoma State (14-14, 1-5 Big 12) regained the lead in the top of the 13th, the Bears answered with two runs in the bottom half.

OSU built a 3-0 lead with two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth, and Cowboys' starting pitcher Vince Wheeland didn't allow a hit until Logan Vick's one-out infield single in the seventh. Dan Evatt followed with a single to bring the tying run to the plate, and Cal Towey hit the next pitch over the right-field wall for a game-tying three-run homer.

"They ran a starter out there at the beginning that really pitched. He had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning," head coach Steve Smith said. "I think Towey's home run was the thing that got us in it. We were down three and he tied it up. That was a pretty big play."

Baylor starter Max Garner allowed three runs in 5.1 innings, and four Baylor relievers combined to hold Oklahoma State scoreless over the next 7.0 innings. OSU broke through against Tyler Bremer with a leadoff double in the 13th that was followed by a RBI single from Gage Green, but freshman Austin Stone came out of the bullpen to strand two runners on base and keep the deficit at 4-3.

Stone (1-0) picked up his first career win after the Bears rallied in the 13th. Nathan Orf led off with a line-drive single to center, and Max Muncy bounced a double down the right-field line to put two runners in scoring position. Josh Ludy tied the game with a RBI infield single, and after an intentional walk to Vick loaded the bases, Turley hit a 2-0 pitch through the middle of a drawn-in infield for his first career walk-off hit.

Joey Hainsfurther tossed 4.1 innings of shutout relief to lower his ERA to 0.93 for the season. OSU's Blake Barnes (1-3) took the loss after allowing two runs on seven hits in 5.0 innings of relief - he retired the first 12 batters faced before an infield single in the 12th inning.

"Joey pitched like I hoped he would pitch after a couple of starts in the midweek," Smith said. "We'd given him some work, and he gave us some really good quality stuff today."

The game almost didn't make it to extra innings, as Evatt led off the bottom of the ninth with a towering shot down the left-field line that hooked just left of the foul pole. The Bears had another chance in the 12th when Evatt led off with an infield single, but a hit-and-run slash play backfired as Towey's grounder up the middle ended in a double play. The next two Baylor batters singled, but they were stranded on base.

Oklahoma State also had chances to break the 3-3 tie. The Cowboys had one-out singles in five consecutive innings between the eighth and 12th, but they were never able to bring home a run.

Orf and Evatt had two hits apiece and each scored one run for the Bears, while Trey Whaley led OSU at the plate with a 4-for-6 effort and one run scored.

Baylor puts its 11-game winning streak on the line when it hosts Texas State for a 6:35 p.m. game on Tuesday. The baseball game will be moved to 3:05 p.m. if Baylor's women's basketball team is playing for the national championship on Tuesday. Following the game against Texas State, Baylor plays a three-game series at Missouri starting at 6 p.m. Thursday.
