HOUSTON- Making its eighth appearance in the event, Baylor baseball will participate in the 2013 Astros Foundation College Classic this weekend at Minute Maid Ballpark. BU's three games will take place on Friday at 12 p.m. CT against California, Saturday at 3:30 p.m. versus Houston and Sunday at 6 p.m. against No. 12 Rice.

The Bears are 11-10 all-time in the tournament, including a 3-0 record in their 2005 College World Series season. In BU's last appearance in 2011, it opened with a 5-2 win over Houston, fell 4-3 to Utah and then ended on an exciting 12-8 win in 10 innings against Rice.

All Baylor baseball games are broadcast live on Waco's 1660 ESPN Radio. Tom Barfield provides the play-by-play with Lark Smith adding color commentary. BAYLOR COMES BACK TO BEAT No. 29 PEPPERDINE
For the second straight game, Baylor say a 4-0 deficit and came back to tie it. But unlike Sunday's finale against No. 2 UCLA, the Bears completed the comeback against No. 29 Pepperdine with a walk-off single by Adam Toth for Baylor's second win in a three-game span versus a ranked opponent. The Bears had trailed 4-0 after a four-run fourth by the Waves. Toth led the way for BU, going 3-for-5 with two RBI. The meeting was the first between both programs and improved BU to 5-1 all-time against West Coast Conference opponents.

BAYLOR AT THE ASTROS IN ACTION COLLEGE CLASSIC

BAYLOR VS. CALIFORNIA SERIES HISTORY
Baylor and California have four times and all have come in NCAA Tournament play. The first meeting was a Cal 8-3 win on May 24, 1991 in the opening round of the Midwest Regional at Eck Stadium-Tyler Field in Wichita, Kan. The last three tilts came at the 2011 Houston Regional -- Baylor won 6-4 on June 3, and beat Rice 3-2 to advance on Jun 4, but then lost 8-0 on June 5 and 9-8 on June 6 to end the season. Cal leads the all-time series 3-1.

BAYLOR VS. PAC-12 CONFERENCE
Baylor is 22-23 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference. BU has played Arizona (4-7), Arizona State (4-6), California (1-3), Oregon State (1-0), Stanford (1-0), UCLA (3-4), Utah (0-1), USC (6-2) and Washington State (2-0).

BAYLOR VS. HOUSTON
Baylor is 87-60 in the all-time series against Houston, including a 40-26 mark in games played in Houston and a 21-15 record during the Steve Smith era. Baylor is 8-3 against U of H in neutral site games. The Bears have won four consecutive series meetings against Houston, including a 14-5 win on March 27, 2012 in Houston last season behind a five-run fourth inning.

BAYLOR VS. RICE SERIES HISTORY
Baylor is 127-87-1 in the all-time series against Rice, including a 45-50-1 mark in games played on Rice's home field. The Owls are 5-2 against the Bears in neutral site meetings, with Baylor winning the most recent matchup, a 12-8 win in 10 innings on the final day of the Houston College Classic on March 6, 2011. That win snapped a six-game losing streak in the series. Baylor is 13-31 against Rice during the Steve Smith era, and the first meeting in the series came on April 25, 1919. The last meeting between the two teams came in the 2011 Houston Regional and the Bears came out on top 3-2 behind a complete game effort by Josh Turley on June 4, 2011.

Baylor 227-152-1 all-time against current members of Conference USA. The Bears have faced Houston (87-60), Memphis (6-2), Rice (127-87-1), Southern Mississippi (3-1), Tulane (3-2) and UAB (1-0).

Comcast SportsNet Houston will air five games from the Astros Foundation College Classic. Two of Baylor's game will be shown on tape-delay; The game versus Houston will air on CSN on Tuesday, March 5 at 12 p.m. CT and the game against Rice will air on Wednesday, March 6 at 12 p.m.
