WACO, Texas - Baylor baseball's series opener Friday, May 13 against Texas A&M at Baylor Ballpark will be televised nationally by ESPN2, the broadcasting company announced Wednesday. Due to the broadcast, first pitch has been moved up one hour to 6 p.m. CT.
The announcement of ESPN2's coverage of the Baylor-Texas A&M game means at least four Baylor regular season games will be televised this season, beginning with Sunday's 1 p.m. series finale between No. 16 Baylor and top-ranked Texas at Baylor Ballpark on College Sports TV.
Baylor's Saturday, April 23 game at Nebraska also will be televised by College Sports TV (2:05 p.m.), and the Saturday, April 30 game at home against Texas Tech will be televised by Fox Sports Net Southwest (2 p.m.).
The four regular-season broadcasts are the most in the program's history.
Baylor returns to action this weekend, opening Big 12 Conference play with a split series against Texas. The Bears and the Longhorns meet Friday at 6:15 p.m. CST at Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas. The series then shifts to Baylor Ballpark for a 6 p.m. first pitch Saturday and a 1 p.m. series finale Sunday.
