WACO, Texas- No. 29 Baylor baseball takes its first Big 12 road trip of the season this weekend to face West Virginia in Charleston, W. Va., at Appalachian Power Park. Games are scheduled for 1 p.m. CT Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday, which will be televised on FOX Sports 1.

Baylor (13-11, 4-2 Big 12) is coming off a 14-3 loss at UT Arlington Tuesday following a 2-1 series win last weekend over No. 20 Oklahoma State. West Virginia (13-8, 0-0 Big 12) will be playing its first home games and first Big 12 contests of the season as the Mountaineers are coming off a 6-3 win at Pittsburgh Tuesday following a 2-1 series loss at UNC Wilmington last weekend. Baylor leads the all-time series 2-1 as last year's Big 12 series on April 5-7, 2013, in Waco marked the teams' first-ever meetings.

All Baylor baseball games are broadcast live on Waco's 1660 ESPN Radio. Tom Barfield provides the play-by-play with Lark Smith adding color commentary. BAYLOR IN BIG 12 ROAD OPENERS
Baylor is 9-8 in Big 12 road openers and 7-10 in Big 12 road opening three-game series. BU's last road opener win came on April 5, 2012, at Missouri (3-1). Since winning seven of eight road openers from 1999-2006, the Bears are 2-5 since. BU's last road opening three-game series win was April 5-7, 2012, at Missouri (sweep). Since losing eight of 12 road opening three-game series from 1997-2008, the Bears have won three of their last five.

BAYLOR RANKED FOR FIRST TIME IN 2014
Baylor received votes in the USA Today preseason poll and is now ranked by one of college baseball's major polls for the first time all season and first time since beginning the 2013 campaign ranked 23rd in the USA Today preseason poll. In the latest Collegiate Baseball top 30 poll, the Bears are No. 29. The last time Baylor was ranked by an in-season poll was in 2012 when the Bears were ranked in the top five by all four major polls for the week of June 4th, 2012.

BAYLOR RACKING UP SERIES WINS
The series win vs. No. 20 Oklahoma State last weekend was Baylor's fourth straight series win, third straight against a ranked foe and second straight Big 12 series win. BU won four series all of last season, and all four were Big 12 series. The last time Baylor won four straight series was March 30-April 22, 2012 (Oklahoma State, at Missouri, at Kansas State, vs. Texas A&M). The last time Baylor won five straight series was in the same year and sequence, adding the March 23-25, 2012, series vs. Kansas. The last time Baylor won two straight series in Big 12 play was April 5-14, 2013 (West Virginia, Oklahoma). The last time BU won three straight Big 12 series was in the same year and same sequence, adding the March 28-30, 2013, series vs. Kansas State.

BAYLOR IN TV GAMES
Baylor is 6-2 this season in TV games with all six wins and all eight games being vs. ranked teams. The Bears opened the season with their debut on the Pac-12 Network and earned a comeback win over No. 19 Arizona State on Feb. 14. BU earned a 5-4 win on March 9 in the series rubber match vs. No. 4 Cal State Fullerton on FOX Sports Southwest. The Bears took two of three games from No. 23 Texas Tech March 14-16 with games airing on FOX College Sports, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Southwest, respectively. BU then took two of three from No. 20 Oklahoma State last weekend with games airing on FOX College Sports (first two) and FOX Sports Plus (finale). Since 2011, BU is 23-14 in TV games. The Bears are 53-55 all-time in TV games.
