WACO, Texas -- Baylor baseball concludes a five-game home stand Tuesday, April 10, hosting TCU for a 6:30 p.m. CDT first pitch at Baylor Ballpark. This is the first of two scheduled meetings between the Bears and the Horned Frogs this season; Baylor visits TCU's Lupton Stadium in early May.

Baylor (19-15) has won three of its last four after taking two of three at home against 19th-ranked Oklahoma over the weekend. The Bears are 17-6 at Baylor Ballpark this season and have won 12 consecutive Tuesday games. Baylor also has won 19 consecutive Tuesday home games against unranked opponents.

TCU (23-9) is 7-3 in its last 10 games after winning two games in a weather-shortened series at Air Force over the weekend. The Horned Frogs have lost each of their last two midweek games, falling 13-2 at Texas A&M two weeks ago and 13-5 at Oklahoma last week.

This is the 233rd meeting between Baylor and TCU, making this the third most-played series in Baylor baseball history behind only Texas (322) and Texas A&M (252). The Bears hold a 132-100 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to the 1904 season. Baylor is 68-39 against TCU in games played in Waco. The Bears have won five straight meetings at Baylor Ballpark.

Baylor and TCU have played five common opponents this season: Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Rice, Texas Tech and UT-Arlington. The Bears are 8-4 against those teams with two-games-to-one series victories over Oklahoma, ORU and Texas Tech, and two wins against UTA. The Horned Frogs are 5-3 with a sweep of ORU and two wins against UTA.

The Bears send freshman right-hander Wade Mackey (1-0, 1.61 ERA) to the mound for his sixth start of the season. In seven appearances, Mackey has 16 strikeouts against eight walks over 22.1 innings with a .221 opponents' batting average.

TCU counters with junior right-hander Chance Corgan (3-1, 4.57 ERA), who makes his eighth start of the season Tuesday. Corgan, who began his collegiate career at Texas A&M, has made nine appearances this season. He has tallied 37 strikeouts against 13 walks over 41.1 innings with a .264 opponents' batting average.

After Tuesday's game, Baylor hits the road for a weekend Big 12 Conference series at Kansas.
