BAYLOR VS. DALLAS BAPTIST SERIES
Baylor leads the all-time series vs. Dallas Baptist 45-21, 33-15 in Waco, 10-6 in Dallas and 16-7 under Steve Smith. The Bears have won six straight games in the series, including both games last season. Baylor won 6-1 on April 3, 2013, in Waco before earning a 9-5 win on April 23, 2013, in Dallas. The last time DBU topped BU was April 8, 2009, in a 16-3 decision at Baylor Ballpark.

BAYLOR VS. MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE
Baylor is 50-24 all-time against current members of the Missouri Valley Conference. BU's record against the league's teams is as follows: Bradley (1-1), Dallas Baptist (45-21), Missouri State (3-1), Southern Illinois (1-0), Wichita State (0-1).

Adam Toth HEATING UP AT THE PLATE
Junior outfielder Adam Toth has been on a roll at the plate over his last 13 games as he is 17-for-48 for a .354 batting average during the stretch. He also has seven runs scored, five RBI, two doubles, one triple, one homer and one steal. During the run, he has four multi-hit games, including a trio of three-hit games. Overall, he already has a career-high three triples, as he had three total triples prior to the start of the season, and he is just six RBI shy of tying his career high from 2012.

Darryn Sheppard STEALS HOME, FINDING RHYTHM AT PLATE AGAIN
Freshman outfielder Darryn Sheppard pulled off the rare steal of home on Tuesday at Sam Houston State. It was not the traditional straight steal of home as he got help from West Tunnell stealing second base to draw a throw, which allowed Sheppard to rush home and beat a high throw. The feat marked the first steal of home for Baylor since Adam Toth did so on April 28, 2012, vs. New Mexico State.

Over his last five games, Sheppard is 4-for-16 (.250) with three runs, two walks, two steals and two RBI. He's had one hit apiece in four of the five games during the stretch after not having a hit in back-to-back games since March 7-8 vs. No. 3 Cal State Fullerton.

BAYLOR BALLPARK'S HOME SWEET HOME ADVANTAGE
In Baylor's first 17 home games of the 2014 season, it has outscored its opponents 77-45 with a 14-3 record -- its best start at home since doing the same in 2012. BU's pitchers have racked up 113 strikeouts in 151.0 innings, allowing just 108 hits and 51 walks with a 1.55 ERA. Since the park opened in 1999, Baylor owns a 363-147 record at Baylor Ballpark and has never had a losing season in the stadium. The closest BU came to a losing season was in 2011, when the Bears were 16-14 at Baylor Ballpark. The last time Baylor started its home season with five or more straight wins was in 2012 (6-0) as the Bears won their first five home games this season. Baylor has won 11 straight Big 12 home series. The last series loss at home in league play for BU came April 21-23, 2011, against Missouri.
