WACO, Texas — Baylor baseball returns to action Tuesday, May 12, hosting Stephen F. Austin in the Bears’ final home game of the 2009 regular season. First pitch between the Bears and Lumberjacks is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CDT at Baylor Ballpark. All tickets for the game are $3.
The Bears (26-20) have not played since May 3, taking an eight-day break for spring semester final exams. Baylor returns to action looking to snap a three-game losing skid. The Bears are 19-12 at home this season and have won at least 20 home games in each of Baylor Ballpark’s first 10 seasons.
Baylor and Stephen F. Austin (22-27) meet for the 27th time Tuesday; the Bears have won each of the previous 26 meetings, including a 22-0 mark in games played in Waco. This is the teams’ first meeting since the Bears posted an 11-0, seven-inning victory at Baylor Ballpark last May.
Sophomore right-hander Shawn Tolleson (0-1, 4.82) is scheduled to start for the Bears. Stephen F. Austin (22-27) has not announced a starter.
