Baylor begins postseason play Wednesday, May 26, at the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Okla. The sixth-seeded Bears join second-seeded Oklahoma, third-seeded Kansas State and seventh-seeded Kansas in Pool Two. Baylor faces Kansas State at 4 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Kansas at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The top team from each pool advances to Sunday's title game at 1 p.m. on FSN.

The Bears (31-21, 11-13) are 6-4 in their last 10 games after sweeping a three-game series against Oklahoma State last weekend. Baylor's sweep of the Cowboys was the Bears' first since completing a three-game sweep of Kansas on April 6, 2008. The Bears were 7-13 against teams in this year's Big 12 Championship field, including a 1-6 mark against Pool Two teams. Baylor dropped its only game at Oklahoma before the second game was cancelled due to snow and rain with the Bears leading 5-0 in the third inning. The Bears lost two of three in a home series against Kansas, with the decisive series finale being decided in 14 innings. Baylor was swept by Kansas State in three well-pitched games in Manhattan -- neither team topped five runs in a game in the series.

Kansas State (35-18, 14-12) ended the season losing two out of three at Texas A&M. The Wildcats dropped five of their last six series of the season after sweeping Baylor. KSU is 4-6 in its last 10 games. The Wildcats were 9-11 against teams in this year's Big 12 Championship field, including a 6-3 mark against Pool Two teams. Kansas State swept three games against Baylor, won two of three against Kansas and lost two of three at Oklahoma.

Oklahoma (42-14, 15-10) capped its regular season with a three-game sweep at Kansas last weekend. The Sooners have won seven straight and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The last time Oklahoma lost a series was more than a month ago when it lost the last games at Texas Tech. OU's only other series loss this season was when it was swept by Texas. The Sooners are 11-8 against teams in this year's Big 12 Championship field, including a 6-1 mark against teams in Pool Two. OU won its only game against Baylor, took two of three at home against KSU and swept a three-game set at KU.

Kansas (31-24-1, 11-15-1) has lost five of its last six Big 12 games after being swept at home by Oklahoma over the weekend. The Jayhawks are 5-5 in their last 10 games and 8-12-1 against teams in this year's tournament field, including a 3-6 mark against Pool Two teams. KU won two of three at Baylor, lost two of three in its split series with Kansas State and was swept at home by OU.

The Big 12 Championship makes its 12th appearance at Oklahoma City this season. Each of the first five Big 12 tournaments, the 2003 tournament and each of the last five events were played in Oklahoma City. The 2002 and 2004 tournaments, both at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, were the only Big 12 tournaments not played in Oklahoma City. All-Sports Stadium was the site of the first conference tournament in 1997; the next year, Bricktown Ballpark opened in OKC, and it served as the host site from 1998 to 2001.

Baylor and Kansas State meet for the 48th time on Wednesday. Baylor holds a 31-16 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to a 2-0 Baylor victory March 28, 1966, in Waco. The Bears dropped all three games of this season's series in Manhattan and have lost four straight to KSU.

While Baylor has dominated the series in Waco (21-2 all-time), the series has been very competitive elsewhere. Kansas State leads the all-time series in Manhattan 11-10, and the Wildcats have won all three neutral-site meetings, including wins in each of the last two Big 12 tournaments.

Baylor is 30-13 against Kansas State in regular-season Big 12 meetings. The Bears have won 12 of the 14 Big 12 series, including all seven series in Waco. In fact, the Bears are 20-1 against the Wildcats in Waco during the Big 12 era.

Baylor and Oklahoma meet for the 65th time Friday. The Bears and Sooners are tied at 32-32 in the all-time series, which dates back to an 8-5 Baylor victory during the 1936 season. Oklahoma won the only game against Baylor in Norman this season, 7-6, but the Bears were leading 5-0 in game two before it was washed out due to snow and rain.

The Bears are 3-7 in their last 10 games against the Sooners, including an active four-game losing streak in the series. However, the Bears have won all four neutral-site meetings between the teams, including wins against the Sooners in the 2004 and 2007 Big 12 Championships. Baylor also beat Oklahoma in the 1986 Citrus Tournament in Edinburg, Texas, and the 1999 University of Houston Ivitational in Houston, Texas.

Baylor and Kansas meet for the 49th time Saturday. The Bears hold a 40-8 advantage in the all-time series, which dates back to an 8-1 Baylor victory during the 1957 season. Baylor is 21-3 all-time against the Jayhawks in Waco, 16-5 in Lawrence and 3-0 in neutral-site meetings. In addition to wins at the 2005 and 2009 Big 12 Championships, the Bears beat Kansas in the 1986 Citrus Tournament in Edinburg, Texas -- Baylor beat Oklahoma in the same tournament.

Kansas won two of three in Waco this season, taking the rubber game with a 12-6 win in 14 innings. The Bears have won 35 of the last 39 meetings; Baylor has swept eight of the last 13 season series, including the 2008 series in Waco. The only non-sweeps in that span were in 2003 (Baylor took two of three at Lawrence), 2006 (Baylor took two of three in Waco), 2007 (Baylor took two of three at Lawrence), 2009 (Baylor took two of three at Lawrence) and this season.

• Baylor and Oklahoma are the only schools to have participated in every Big 12 postseason event. Oklahoma State had qualified each year prior to the last two seasons.
• Baylor has made five championship title game appearances: 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2007. Only Nebraska (six) has made more title game appearances.
• Baylor is 35-34 all-time in conference tournaments, including a 23-21 mark in the Big 12 event.
• Baylor is 21-17 all-time in Big 12 Championship games in Oklahoma City, including a 21-15 mark at Bricktown Ballpark.
• Baylor is 7-5 in pool play at the Big 12 Championship. The Bears lost to Nebraska and Texas before defeating Texas Tech in 2006. In 2007, the Bears went 3-0, defeating Oklahoma State, Missouri and Oklahoma. Baylor defeated Nebraska before falling to Oklahoma State and Kansas State in 2008, and last season the Bears beat Texas, lost to Kansas State and beat Kansas.
