Green Takes 4-0 Lead in Sic ‘Em World Series
Nov. 17, 2017

WACO, Texas – Team Green posted a second straight comeback win, 4-2, over Team Gold on Friday afternoon at Baylor Ballpark to take a 4-0 lead in the Sic ‘Em World Series five-game intrasquad scrimmage.

Gold grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on a Tucker Cascadden sacrifice fly, and then added a Shea Langeliers sac fly in the third for a 2-0 lead. But the advantage did not last long for Gold.

Green started its scoring in the fourth. After a wild pitch scored the first run, Tucker Johnson singled home another to tie the game. Levi Gilcrease gave Green the lead with a sac fly in the fifth. Then a wild pitch in the sixth made it a 4-2 lead that stood behind relievers Jesse Garcia, who earned the win, and Collin Garrett, who earned the save.

The teams will finish the series at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday. All games are free and open to the public.
