Baylor baseball will welcome an eighth student-athlete to its 2010 recruiting class, head coach Steve Smith announced Wednesday, as Nate Goodwin (Overland Park, Kan.) will don a Bears uniform in 2011.
Goodwin, who is an infielder/catcher, hit .357 with one home run, seven doubles, four triples, 21 RBI and 14 stolen bases for Rockhurst (Mo.) High School last season.
Goodwin comes from a strong baseball family, as his father, Mark, and uncle, Steve played baseball at Kansas State, while his uncle, Dave, played at Central Missouri State.
