  Head Coach Scott Drew

Opening statement:
"This is a different feeling for me becasue normally after these post games we've lost up here, and I tribute that to the great teams and players we've faced and the great fan support that Oklahoma State gets at home. At the same, I'me very proud of our guys because playing on the road, no matter who, when, where, how, it's always a war in the Big 12. It's the toughest place to play on the road; statistics prove that. I'm just very pleased on how we finished up. Two road games in the same week, that's tough to do. So to get two wins, I'm going to sleep well tommorow, I can promise."

On if he expected a close game:
"No question. One thing you have to give credit where credit is due, I thought Coach (Travis) Ford did a great job preparing his team, having them focused, having them ready and they really fought. I think they deserve a lot of credit, and I think rebounding down the stretch by Quincy (Acy) and Perry (Jones) was the difference. I'm very pleased and proud on how they've improved on that area of their game."

On getting defensive stops at the end of the game:
"It always helps when you get stops, and Oklahoma State went on that run and we gave them some good looks. We can't give players of that caliber those kinds of looks. We put ourselves in that position, and then at the end I thought we did a much better job making it difficult to score. Credit Oklahoma State to have the poise and resiliency when they got down double figures when Pierre (Jackson) hit those two threes. They could've caved in: they had every excuse to because they were down on numbers and fatigue, and they really fought back hard."

  Senior Forward Quincy Acy

On winning inside Gallagher-Iba Arena:
“It feels good. Every time we have played here before, we have lost. It’s also good to get a win up here for Coach (Scott) Drew.”

On retaking the lead:
“It was really big because we got the crowd back out of the game because they got pretty loud.”

  Junior Guard Pierre Jackson

On maintaining the lead:
“We have been in this situation before. It’s hard to win any game on the road. We tried to keep our poise and we did a good job of that this game.”

On the late defensive stops:
“We knew they had the momentum and the crowd was into it. We just had to get stops and get good shots up.”

  Sophomore Forward Perry Jones III

On controlling the boards:
“Every game, you have to control the boards. Especially in a road game, you have to rebound. Everyone can shoot on their home floor better than on the road, so we couldn’t allow them to rebound.”

  Head Coach Travis Ford

Opening Statement:
“I want to congratulate Baylor. They’re a great basketball team. I’m very proud of the effort our team put into it. We couldn’t have played any harder. Our guys left it on the court. I wouldn’t say we played particularly well, but we played hard. Once we got the one-point lead with 1:41 left, we never really made another play, came up with a big rebound, or a big stop. I’m very proud of their effort and disappointed we didn’t pull it out.”

On being aggresive:
“All I’ve been stressing is to be aggressive. We weren’t very aggressive the first time around against Baylor at all. We can normally defend people. We’re pretty good defensively when we play our defense. The past two games we haven’t played very good defense. Since Jurick has gone down our team has been very tentative and worried about foul trouble. We lost a big time presence with him. We want to be aggressive without fouling but we want to be who we are. You always know one guy is going to get in foul trouble, but you just hope two don’t. Then you have to worry about how long to play them with two fouls in the first half. Normally I would never play a guy in the first half if he had two, but now we have to pick and choose: offense for defense or defense for offense.”

On where team goes from here:
“I’ve never been involved in a team situation quite like this. I’ve talked to a lot of my friends who are coaches and they said ‘Travis, if you’ve been a head coach for 15 years and if this is your first time dealing with it, then you’re doing pretty good. We have no excuses. I love our team. I love coaching this team. I like teams who achieve. Sometimes you have to go through the things we’ve been through to get where you want to go. I really believe that. It’s been interesting. But I look forward to coming to practice every day. I like these kids.”

  Senior Guard Keiton Page

On playing with a depleted rotation:
"I thought we played extremely hard. We were just a couple big plays away from winning this one. A big rebound here, or a big shot here. We did a lot of the right things and made steps in the right direction. Just late in the game, we didn't make a few big plays that we needed."

On whether he was fatigued playing 40 minutes:
"No. In a game like that, you're so into the game, emotions are so high, you're adrenaline is going. You're not worried about being tired in a game like that. It's the type of game you want to be a part of."

On Brian Williams' performance:
"He played well. He played with a lot of energy tonight. On the offensive end, he was playing well, knocking down shots, being aggressive getting to the basket and getting in there and getting a few offensive rebound putbacks. Most importantly, he played great defense. A lot of games we'll put him on one of their toughest offensive players, like we did tonight. He answered on the defensive end as well as the offensive end."

  Redshirt Freshman Guard Brian Williams

On scoring a career-high 23 points:
"I was feeling it tonight. I've been waiting for one these nights, but it would have been better to get the win than have one of these nights."

On how the team played today compared to the first matchup:
"I think we made a statement, but I wish we could play them one more time, so we could maybe get the win. They beat us by 41 last time, and we didn't play our best ball. We didn't play our best ball tonight, but the effort was there, so I feel good about this one."

On if he knew the team would play better tonight than the first matchup:
"I knew everybody would play better tonight. In the last one, we just didn't look too good. Everybody played defense tonight, people knocked down shots and made plays, we just needed a few more."
