NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Isaiah Cousins scored 15 of his career-high 21 points in the second half to help No. 21 Oklahoma beat Baylor 88-72 on Saturday night.
Buddy Hield had 19 points and Cameron Clark added 16 for the Sooners (18-6, 7-4 Big 12), who made a season-high 14 3-pointers and snapped a two-game skid.
Isaiah Austin scored a season-high 21 points for Baylor (14-9, 2-8), which once again was competitive in a losing effort. The Bears, who spent the first three months of the season ranked in the Top 25 and cracked the Top 10, lost for the seventh time in eight games.
The teams combined to make 23 3-pointers. Oklahoma took 29 shots from 3-point range and 27 inside the arc, while Baylor took 23 of its 59 shots from 3-point territory.
Isaiah Austin had 16 first-half points, the most by a Baylor player this season.
Austin (season-high 21 points in season-high 35 minutes) scored in double figures for the 14th time this season and the 41st time in his career.
Brady Heslip (12 points; 4-of-8 3FGs) hit three or more 3-pointers in a game for the 47th time in 97 career games played. He's hit four or more 3-pointers in 29 career games.
Royce O'Neale (5 assists) had his 3rd game of the season with 5+ assists and finished one short of his season high.
Heslip scored in double figures for the 15th time this season and 49th time in his career.
Ish Wainright (6 points) scored his most points in Big 12 play and tied his 2nd-most points in any game this season.
