Head Coach Scott Drew
Opening Statement:
"It’s always tough playing a Doc Sadler-coached team. It’s a different style and they do such a great job on you defensively. It’s tough to prepare for that style. I think we really executed well offensively. We shot 64 percent in the second half and 50 percent overall in the game. Our assist-to-turnovers were better. A lot of things defensively we didn’t do as well as we would have liked to in the second half. I know we had some breakdowns. I get the question asked a lot, “Why don’t we play more man?” Sometimes when you have those breakdowns that’s why you don’t play more man. I thought for the most part we competed throughout the game. This was a big game for us, and especially with the weather, I thought the crowd was great. For those that braved it to come out, we really appreciate it.”

On being in third place in the Big 12:
“We’re really not looking at that too much. We’re looking at the next game we have. The reason is that in this league you can win three and then lose three with the blink of an eye. You’ve just got to prepare and concentrate on the next game at hand. As long as you do that, and as long as you stay level where you don’t get too high or too low, you have a chance because every coach would describe the Big 12 as a grind. Every game is so hard-fought and intense.”

On shooting 64 percent in the second half:
“We were making (the shots.) I thought we had pretty good looks in the first half as well. We didn’t make as many threes as we would have liked, but I thought we really did a good job of getting the ball into the paint. I’m really pleased that we didn’t settle for shots. Sometimes it’s tough when you’re open and you miss a couple, you just keep shooting versus going to something else first that works, it’s good to do that.”

Junior Forward Quincy Acy
On struggling from the free throw line: "I didn’t get frustrated. The shots just weren’t falling. It happens. I know what I’m capable of, but it was just one of those nights.”

Senior Guard LaceDarius Dunn
On the hot shooting in the second half:
"I was just trying to get a spark going. In the first half I was just trying to feed the big men and get them going and just trying to get everyone involved. But in the second half I knew that I had to take it to another level on both ends of the floor. I just tried to be more physical and make plays. I think I did a great job of getting to the free throw line.”

On the momentum change in the second half:
"I think once we realized we were in the bonus a couple of times, we tried to focus on being more physical and get to the free throw line and making (Nebraska) foul. I think we did a great job of knocking them down. A couple of those looked a little sluggish, but we picked each other up.”

Freshman Forward Perry Jones III
On the importance of this game:
"We definitely need to win at home. If we can’t win all of our games at home then it’s going to make it harder on the road. If we can’t win our games on the road then we don’t have a chance of making the postseason. This game was definitely very important.”

Head Coach Doc Sadler
Opening Statement:
“First of all, I could not be any happier with the effort my team gave. But when you look at the free throw situation and a team goes to the free throw line 44 times and you have a chance to win it, I think that says probably how good we did play. But you are not going to overcome that. We have been putting teams to the free throw line 14 to 16 times a game, and for some reason we put somebody there 44 times tonight. You look at the rest of the stats and we did not turn the ball over. The offensive rebounds, we out-rebounded them. When a team scores 31 points at the free throw line, you are not going to win many ballgames.”

On the competition between the two teams:
“You want a chance to win it in the last few minutes and that is where we were at.”

On LaceDarius Dunn’s performance in the second half:
“It is hard to guard LaceDarius when he goes to the free throw line 13 times. You cannot guard him going 13 times and take away the jump shot. It is hard to guard a guy that good because you are going to put him at the free throw line 13 times because you have to guard him.”

How the Baylor program has changed:
“They have got a good program. They have done a great job. They have got great players and Scott (Drew) does a good job.”
