WACO, Texas (AP) - Nate Carter scored 22 points, while Longar Longar and Bobby Maze added 12 each to lead Oklahoma to a 68-64 win over Baylor on Saturday.
Trailing 67-64, Baylor got a final opportunity to tie the game when Troy Crocker was called for traveling with 28 seconds remaining.
The Bears worked the ball down low to Kevin Rogers, but he missed his jumper and Longar, who also had 12 rebounds, grabbed the errant shot for the Sooners.
Following a foul by Tim Bush with 13 seconds left to play, Longar sank a free throw to clinch the win for Oklahoma (15-8, 6-4 Big 12).
Curtis Jerrells paced Baylor's scoring with 23 points, while Rogers contributed 20.
Oklahoma extended its winning streak over Baylor (12-11, 2-8 Big 12) to 26 games dating back to 1977.
Baylor's Aaron Bruce sprained his right ankle after missing a running jumper with just over 12 minutes left to play. Bruce went to the dressing room and did not return to the game.
