RV/RV BAYLOR 64, WAYLAND BAPTIST 50 - Ferrell Center (Waco, Texas)
Tuesday, February 15, 2011 - Attendance: 5,037

Head Coach Scott Drew
Opening Statement:
"There was one positive from tonight and that was (LaceDarius) Dunn breaking the school record. The rest of it was nothing good and credit Wayland Baptist for some of that. I am very disappointed with our performance. At the end of the night, the one positive thing was Dunn setting the school record.”

On LaceDarius Dunn getting the scoring record out of the way:
“I think it was important because coming into this game, everyone on our team knew he was about to break the record. It’s one of those things where, ‘Do I shoot or do I give him the ball?’ That definitely went into play on quite a few possessions tonight. It was good once (Dunn) got it so we could get back to playing basketball.”

On preparing for the final stretch:
“The tough thing is you want to do things that will help you for the next couple of games and there are certain ways people guard you in the Big 12 and there are certain ways that you want to guard people. That’s what is tough from a coaching philosophy. We chose to work on things that we thought would help us in the last five games and I don’t think anything helped us tonight.”

Senior Guard LaceDarius Dunn
On being nervous about breaking the record:
"Not at all. I was just out there playing my game. It’s not like I was out there working real hard to try to get those points and break the record. I was just staying within my game and just knew that it would come, and fortunately it came.”

On his shooting performance:
" It was a great accomplishment. I just topped a great player that was here (Terry Teagle.) I’m just going to take it and put it behind me and stay focused out there for the rest of the season.”
