  Head Coach Scott Drew

Opening Statement:
" Great senior night, couldn't be more proud of how our seniors were able to play their last game and go out. For senior nights, everybody feels the pressure because they really want to do well for the seniors. I thought you saw that tonight. Everybody, especially in the first half, defended extremely well, second half we didn't guard as well as we are capable of. Credit Texas Tech for continuing to fight and that's what they do. They always play extremely hard."

On the seniors' 95 wins:
"Sometimes we overlook the winningest class and what that means, but first of all, they're going to graduate. Fred already has, they're going to be successful after basketball. Then to leave with the record of winningest class means that not only are they good players, but they've been good leaders and they've contributed in all facets freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior year. I'm very proud of them."

On the seniors' final home game:
"I think the big thing is it was great that we won and the seniors got to play, and play well, and get the recognition. I want to thank the crowd because it was a late game and I know it's tough with school the next day and for everyone to stay around and hear them speak and cheer them on, so from the bottom of my heart I really appreciate it."

On the energy of the game:
"I think Baylor Nation respected what they've accomplished and how they've conducted themselves and our players fed off that as well. Normally, Saturday-and-Mondays you're really, tired but we definitely had pep in our step."

  Senior Forward Quincy Acy

On playing his final game at the Ferrell Center:
"Obviously, it's emotional playing my last game at the Ferrell Center, but I feel we have a long way to go in the season so it's not close to our last game. There was a great turnout and I thank all the fans."

On the development of the team the past four years:
"Our seniors have always set the tone for us and our four years. We went through a big slump in the Big 12 our freshmen year and our seniors taught us how to overcome it, then we made a big run to the NIT Championship. So that right there set the tone for us and gave us a winning mentality. Everything we did from there all our upperclassmen have instilled a winning mentality in us."

  Senior Guard Fred Ellis

On playing his final game at the Ferrell Center:
"It was great to go out with these guys. We got to get close and get to know each other, and it was great to go out with them. With all the hard work we've put in especially after last season, we had senior night and it went bad against the same team. This year was good with the fans cheering us on. It's just a great feeling when you go out with a win in the last home game."

  Senior Forward Anthony Jones

On playing his final game at the Ferrell Center:
"Playing our last game in this arena where the fans showed us so much love throughout the years through the good and bad times. It was just emotional. Coming here with these guys has been a big blessing getting to know these two."

  Head Coach Billy Gillispie

Opening Statement:
"Tough night for us, obviously, I thought we really played hard for the entire game, especially at the start. We couldn't make any plays, finish to the basket, couldn't make open shots, and couldn't get to the foul line. They had a great deal of confidence, and it just kind of steamrolled against us. You have to give them credit, they played really well."

On fatigue being a factor in the game:
"No I don't think it was fatigue, just probably athletic ability. We've done a lot better on that than we have been in the past. After they made some shots it became more one-on-one, so they had way too much penetration. We didn't do a very good job guarding the ball and stopping penetration. We had 13 rebounds at half, and they had 10 offensive rebounds. When we have 10 defensive and they have 10 offensive, that's not good. You should be getting a majority of defensive rebounds. You have to give them credit, they played very well. We didn't guard them after we made shots early. Our intentions were very good, and we played hard like we always do. We just didn't guard like we needed to."

On playing Baylor on senior night:
"It's great, they've obviously got some great seniors who have had a great deal of success here, but Ohio State got beat the other night at home. Wisconsin went in there and won, so sometimes that's a negative. I wish that you penciled in a win just because it is senior night, but that being said, they had to play. You don't just get a win because it is senior night, but they played and made it a special night tonight because of their play. Again, those guys have had a great career here, and were the winningest group of seniors here. My hat is off to them, and hopefully they go far in the postseason."
