Head Coach Scott Drew

Opening Statement:
"We're very pleased with the win, pleased with the rebounding and the defense. If we went into the game and said we are going to shoot 30 percent and Isaiah, Cory, Kenny, and Gary, are going to be 2-for-25, most people would have said we were going to be in trouble. Very proud of the rebounding effort and the defensive effort and at the end of the day, that's what got it done for us. It's that time of year when people get tired legs and shots become short at the end of the game. During the last eight minutes someone asked if they put the rebounding rim up on our side. They need to put it up on the other end next time.

On the positive takeaways from this game:
"We made 80 percent of our free throws, which is outstanding. Defensively, most teams when they shoot poorly they let it affect the defensive end, and we didn't turn the ball over. This is the third-straight game where we haven't had double-digit turnovers, which is outstanding. We have been taking good care of the ball."

On the mindset for the rest of the season:
"We know what we need to do, and at the same time as long as we are playing we control our own destiny. We don't have to win another [regular season] game, and go into the Big 12 Tournament and win out and you're going to the tournament. Though, I think at the end of the day you just don't want to put too much pressure because that can backfire too."

On Royce O'Neale:
"Royce has been tremendous the past two weeks. He got a lot of key rebounds and a lot of key plays tonight."

Senior G Brady Heslip

On second half shooting troubles:
"We were playing so hard on the defensive end, and I think by the end of game our legs were just tired."

Junior F Royce O' Neale

On Baylor's presence on the boards:
"In practice, we have an emphasis on it because last time we played them they out-rebounded us by a lot. We put an emphasis on rebounding offensively and defensively, and that was one of our main keys. So we got that."

On his recent offensive surge:
"Just pretty much playing with more confidence with my teammates giving me the ball more when I'm open. Also me passing the ball more and just being a team player."

Head Coach Tubby Smith

Opening Statement:
"You have to compliment Baylor, they dominated the boards. Even though they were struggling shooting the ball I think we did an adequate job out there defensively. We just could not limit them to one shot. That was pretty much the ball game. We had a couple of chances at the end, we got it close but we could not make the play or we would do something like turn it over. They did what they had to do to get the win. They are certainly a team that I know we will be playing in postseason play."

On if the way they played at the end of the game is something to build on:
"That is one thing we could hang our hat on because we did a good job defensively. They had some good looks. It was not like it was all defense. We did a good job of being aggressive and trying to take the ball out, and making them go to their second and third option. We have improved defensively. There are just some good players in this league."

On Royce O'Neale:
"Royce is very talented. I like his game. He is a good, solid player and doing such a good job. He is the glue guy. He has a great line, 35 minutes and 17 points with no turnovers, pretty impressive. He is the one that made a difference."

Forward Aaron Ross

On the difference in rebounding for this game:
"They just out-hustled us on the rebounds. We did not go hard enough. Just a bad game on the boards."

On making a comeback:
"We just moved the ball around more, started shooting better, and played better defense."

Guard Robert Turner

On their defense early in the game:
"We really worked on containing the ball off the dribble and making sure they could not drive and kick because that is all they really wanted to do. Heslip got off to a hot start, and you cannot let shooters like that get off like that because it will dictate the whole game."

On how their losing streak is affecting them:
"Your thought process has to be going forward. It is going to hurt now but tomorrow we will have to wipe it out because we have to get ready for Kansas and find a way to get a win. We will be the same enthusiastic team going forward."
