• Baylor advances to the Big 12 Championship semifinals for the second time in 12 tournaments, the other appearance in 2001 (as 8 seed after defeating [9] Colorado in OT and [1] Iowa State before losing to [4] Texas in Kansas City).
• With today's win, Baylor is now 7-11 all-time in the Big 12 Championship (3-4 under Scott Drew)
• Baylor has now beaten two top-seeded Big 12 Championship teams (Iowa State 2001), the only two occurrences in Big 12 history.
• Today's win is Baylor's first over KU since 2001 and snaps an eight-game losing streak.
• Baylor now trails 14-2 in its all-time series vs. Kansas (1-0 in Big 12 Championship play); head coach Scott Drew is now 1-5 all-time vs. KU.
• Baylor snapped a five-game losing streak to ranked teams (dating to Nov. 28 win over No. 14 Arizona State) and is now 2-5 on the season vs. ranked opponents.
• Baylor's upset of No. 11 Kansas marks the highest-ranked opponent defeated since beating No. 7/8 Iowa State in the 2001 Big 12 Tournament (also BU's last win over the tournament 1 seed).
• Baylor is now 17-0 this season when posting a higher shooting percentage than its opponent.
• Baylor is now 14-1 this season when holding opponents to fewer than 70 points.

• Baylor is now 7-0 this season vs. Big 12 opponents when leading at the half (led 30-27 today).
• With 71 points today, the 2008-09 Baylor squad has become the second-highest scoring team in BU history with points 2,458 total points in 32 games (second to last year's 2,601 points in 33 games).
• Team single-season 3-pointers made - 263

LaceDarius Dunn scored 24 today. In three career Big 12 Championship games Dunn is averaging 20.6 points & has scored no fewer than 18.
• Dunn's six 3-pointers tied the Baylor record for 3s in a Big 12 Championship game (Kenny Taylor, 2003 vs. Texas Tech).
Mamadou Diene tied a season high with five blocks today - one shy of his career mark.
Curtis Jerrells became only the fourth player in Baylor history to score 1,700 career points, pouring in 10 points. He now has 1,701 career points and is one point shy of tying Brian Skinner (1,702) for third place all-time.
Curtis Jerrells broke and extended several school records in Big 12 Championship play in the following categories:

  • Career Points: 119 in six games - 10 Pts today
  • Career Field Goals Made: 41 in 6 games - Three FGM today

  • Career 3-Point Field Goals Made: 14 in 6 games - Two 3FGM today

  • Career Starts: Seven in seven games

  • Career Games Played: Seven (tied with 4 others including teammates Henry Dugat and Kevin Rogers).

Kevin Rogers extended his Baylor-record career rebounds in Big 12 Championship play - now 52 in six games (five today).
