HEAD COACH Scott Drew

Opening Statement
"On behalf of our basketball team I want to thank our administration for allowing us to play this basketball game. I think they had great foresight that this was going to be a big event in the future and to be able to jump in on this [event] early on is a great thing because this is great national exposure. I want to thank everyone that came out to the game. It was great for the community of Waco and Baylor University."

On LaceDarius Dunn
"Regardless if Lace[Darius] Dunn starts or comes off of the bench, whenever he plays he is going to give you a spark. He scores in bunches and does a tremendous job. Defensively he has made the biggest improvement that we have been most proud about as a coaching staff."

On the defensive effort
"The defense in the first half was very good. In the second half, I think we have to get better at keeping our focus. We played some different lineups and it is tough when you are 6-9 trying to guard someone who is 6-0, and we know that, but we have to get better."

GUARD LaceDarius Dunn

On scoring 18 points
"I told myself before the game that I would never shoot like I did in the last game against Paul Quinn. I came out and shot at least an hour before the game to make sure that I was in control and I thought I shot the ball pretty well."

On the defensive effort
"That is one of the things that we have preached all year, defense. That is one of the most important things that we have to get better at. I think coming into the game we were focused on keeping the great guards that Centenary has in front of us so that we were able to make plays. I think we did a great job with that."

GUARD Curtis Jerrells

On playing at 3 p.m.
"It is not unusual to play during the middle of the day. We were more excited that we didn't have to wait as long to play another game."

On the offense feeding off of the defense
"It just goes to unselfishness. Our main focus this year is our defense. At lot of guys are not going to worry about offense as much, but when we get open shots, we are going to take them and we did a good job of making open shots. Early on, Lace[Darius Dunn] was open on the baseline and he is our best shooter, so we tried to give him the ball so he could knock them down."

On the defense
"It is our main focus. I think we did a good job tonight. We let up at times, but that happens sometimes when the score gets lopsided. In order to get where we want to be, we are going to have to cut that out."

CENTENARY HEAD COACH GREG GARY

Opening Statement
"We knew they had a good team. Their guards, we watch basketball a lot, they have great control... they all shoot it, they all handle it.. They are a very good team and Coach Drew has done a great job bringing in some very, very good players. "

On Kevin Rogers' play
"I felt like Rogers could have had 30. He is just big, strong, very skilled...They took advantage of our lack of size."

CENTENARY GUARD CHASE ADAMS

On Baylor's guards
"Their guards are talented. Watching film we knew they were going to be very tough."

On whether this Baylor's team is better then last year's
"They look better. They have depth; they have a lot of depth. A lot of their players our stepping up....They are very good."
