Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew

On team's overall performance vs. Providence...
"When you have 23 turnovers, you normally don't win the game. Defensively, we played well and it was a great team effort."

On Baylor's defensive effort...
"I am very proud of our defense and I thought they really stepped it up. We got into foul trouble and it made it tough for our rotation, but we managed to still play well. I know what we are capable of playing like and we just have to play like that more often."

On how Baylor matched up with Providence...
"We both play similar styles. We like to get up and go. Providence is good at scoring when in the press."

Baylor Guard Curtis Jerrells

On Baylor's Defense...
"We played defense very well. That will be the key to winning this tournament and throughout the rest of the season."

On being in California...
"We are enjoying ourselves. It's a business trip, but we are still having fun."

Baylor Forward Kevin Rogers

On the 76 Classic field...
"This is definitely a big test. The game are going to be tough. There are some great teams in this tournament, so we are going to have to be on our 'A' game."

On being in California...
"We came out here to win the championship and bond as a team."

Providence Head Coach Keno Davis

On his team's overall performance vs. Baylor...
"I think you are preparing for the game and watching the games around the country and it seems more often than not one team comes out and just doesn't have it for whatever reason. I don't want to make excuses, but I think when you see these games, you see a team that just doesn't come out and I don't think it was an effort thing. I thought the guys were trying. It wasn't that Baylor out-shot us from the perimeter, they just got to a few more loose balls, got a few more rebounds. We couldn't get some stops and then when we didn't shoot the ball well, we didn't find another way to score. We can't just live from the 3-point line; we have to find other ways to score."
