Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew

Opening Statement:
"Wake Forest played a great game. We kind of live by the three and die by the three and tonight we died by it. It was our third game in four days and we've got to get better post touches and more post scoring. Wake (Forest) played a great game and they've got a great team."

On Wake Forest's 16-1 run:
"Sixty-two rebounds to 38. They were rebounding it and the other thing we had 11 turnovers. So we turned the ball over and allowed them to get easy ones. They did a great job on the boards and in the second half they really controlled things and really hurt us when we had some four issues. Quincy Acy is one of our great rebounders and we rely on him a lot. So, when he was hampered in the second half, he had five rebounds in 10 minutes, so they took advantage of that in the second half."

Baylor Guard Curtis Jerrells

"We enjoyed it very much. But, it was a business trip for us and we came here to win a championship and we're disappointed that we didn't."

Baylor Forward Kevin Rogers

"It was a great experience for us and like Curtis said, it was a business trip and it was unfortunate that we didn't do that. But, this tournament allowed us to see what we need to work on and what we have already down and hopefully prepare us more for the rest of the season."

Wake Forest Head Coach Dino Gaudio

Opening Statement:
"I thought it was a great win for our kids. I thought we beat a very talented, well-coached basketball team in Baylor. They started four seniors and a junior and they are a veteran, experienced squad. To come on the road in a tournament of this caliber and to have the kids play the way they did, I am very proud of them. I thought we played incredibly hard. We held (Baylor) to 32 percent from the field and 25 percent in threes. Rebounding is effort and we get 20 offensive rebounds, 62 total, so I am just really proud of our kids."

On the importance of tonight's victory:
"This could be a springboard for us, coming out here and winning three games in four days. Last year we had a very good win against Duke and as a program goes through its development, you learn to compete, then you learn to win and then you learn to handle winning and then you become a championship team. I think last year because we were so young, when we got that good win against Duke, we didn't know how to handle it and we dropped three of our next four games. I think we proved something today. We grew up and we'll see if we mature a little bit to handle this win in a very prestigious tournament, 2,500 miles from home. If we can gather ourselves and win again on Wednesday, that will be a big step for us because handling winning is the next step for this basketball team."

Wake Forest Junior L.D. Williams

On the game:
"We knew how the game was going to be from the start. Our coaches harped on how hard (Baylor) played on offense and how relentless they were on the backboard. Going into the game, you have to psych yourself up for a team like this. They were in the NCAA Tournament last year and had a few big wins earlier in the year. We knew we had a tough task at hand and I feel like we handled the pressure well. We stepped up to the challenge today and had a big win."

On the importance of tonight's victory:
"Everyone knows that we have our woes on the road and on neutral courts. I think we proved a lot to ourselves in that we can win tight games on the road. We lost some tough heartbreakers last year in the ACC. Now, we come out to Anaheim, Calif., and had to adjust to the time difference, but we fought it out. I am proud of the guys for that. We have a couple young guys and they gutted it out with us."

Wake Forest Sophomore Jeff Teague

On the game:
"(Baylor) came out playing hard, but I kind of felt like we were more of the underdogs. They made it to the NCAA Tournament last year and had a lot of their players back. So, I kind of felt like we had something to prove and we came out and fought. They are a great team and they came out and played hard as well, but at the end of the game, we came out with the win."
