WACO, Texas (AP) - Taurean Prince scored 10 of his 16 points in the go-ahead run for No. 9 Baylor as the Bears overcame a slow start to beat Oral Roberts 81-55 on Monday night.
Baylor (11-1) fell behind 7-0 while missing its first six shots before finally scoring nearly 6 minutes into the game.
Prince made a free throw with 11:31 left in the first half to tie the game at 11-all. That also started a 13-2 spurt over nearly 5½ minutes as the Bears went ahead to stay.
Shawn Glover had 22 points to lead Oral Roberts (6-7), which has lost four of five games. Denell Henderson had 16 points.
Cory Jefferson had 17 points for Baylor, while Isaiah Austin had 15 points and Rico Gathers had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Cory Jefferson (17 points) had his 41st career double-figure scoring game (11th of season, career-high 10th straight and 18th in last 19 games), and Baylor is 33-8 all-time when he scores in double figures.
Rico Gathers (10 points/10 rebounds) recorded his fifth career double-double and and second of the season.
Gathers (10 rebounds) recorded his 11th double-digit career rebound game and fourth of the season.
Gathers (10 Points) had his seventh career double figure scoring game, third of the season and third in his last four games.
Brady Heslip (three 3-point FGs) has made at least one 3-pointer in 75 of 86 career games and two or more in 57 games.
With 15 points, Isaiah Austin has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games, eight times this season and 35 times in his career.
With four blocks, Austin has nine games this season with multiple blocks and 25 in his career.
Taurean Prince scored a season-high 14 points in the first half and finished with 16 points, it was his sixth career double figure game and third of the season.
