Opening statement...
"In the first half, we were all embarrassed on how we played. I think Texas Tech really played well. I thought for the first 10-12 minutes besides not being able to do much, we at least kept it close. In the last 8 minutes, we let things get away from us. We were trying to speed up and catch up. Not having Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. hurt and TJ (Terry Maston) just coming back -- that wasn't TJ. Hopefully, this will be a great learning experience for us. Hopefully, we will get a lot better. No one likes the feeling we have after today's game. We really credit Texas Tech though. Coach Beard has done a great job. They are really talented. They really compete. They're definitely a great team."

On not having Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. or Terry Maston ...
"It's not just Jo, it's not having Jo and TJ. When you've got one guy over 6'9, it makes it tough to rebound. It makes it tough to run offense. It makes it tough to get inside and score. I thought Tristan (Clark) did a great job in the second half. He fouled out, but I thought he got better and got valuable experience from it. It hurt without TJ and Jo."

On Texas Tech's success ...
"You've got to credit their defense because we had to put different guys in different roles and not have time to practice that. You can be one down, but it's hard when you're two down. Hopefully, we can get everyone back and return to their old selves again. We've got to have that in the Big 12."

On having one assist and 14 turnovers...
"I didn't think that was possible. I thought we did a bad job coaching and playing. I thought Texas Tech's defense was good."
